Who is BE Chocolat?

After earning his BElgian Master Chocolatier degree in 2009 in Belgium, BEnoit Racquet's talent was showcased when he was selected Head Chef of the chocolate corner at the Belgian Pavilion during the Shanghai World Expo in 2010. Racquet co-founded BE Chocolat with his wife, Sylvie Fortin, in 2014. What began as a small cottage business in Fairfield, Connecticut, has grown into a well-loved local brand known for its craftsmanship, using sustainable Callebaut Belgian chocolate and locally sourced ingredients.

By 2021, BE Chocolat opened its first Atelier, expanding their team of passionate chocolate lovers, and in 2023, they introduced Salon BE Chocolat in Greenwich Harbor, a spot that attracted recognition from Forbes and Condé Nast Traveler. BE Chocolat has earned a reputation for blending tradition with creative artistry, offering micro-batch ice cream, Belgian waffles, and Belgian coffee, all served with warm, personal touches.

Their success was crowned by winning Best Dessert of the Gold Coast in both 2023 and 2024.
